Duration: August 2021- December 2021

Role: UX Designer from conception to reality.

The Problem

Currently Sweet Destination does not have a website and heavily relies on social media for selling and promoting merchandise within the community.

Goal

Create an inviting website for Sweet Destination that allow locals to easily buy and return an item from the comfort of their homes.

Understanding The User

Mila, 31 year old, social worker from Reedley CA.

Mila is a Social Worker, mom, and student who needs her local shop to price match and offer better quality items because she would like continue supporting her community while saving time and money.

" As a busy single mother I would love quality items sold locally and the ease of returing the item if it not."

I conducted interviews and empathy maps to understand what locals think about shopping local and what their user needs are. A primary user group that was identified was the working busy single mom who likes to shop local but is not getting the experience that meets her lifestyle.

This user group confirmed that shopping local did not just have limited options but also low  quality of the items offered. The research also revealed that the items sold locally were sold at a higher price point. Busy locals also wanted an easier way to return an item.
